The beautiful Mill Creek Park is located in the middle of a great city – Kansas. The process started in 1908. In that year, the Kansas City Board of Park Commissioners demanded the land to build a public parkway. After approval, the road work began. The park was opened officially in 1913.
In 1953, after the death of real estate developer J.C. Nichols, the park name was renamed as “J. C. Nichols Parkway.” Mr. Nichols did so much construction work in Kansas. Country club plaza (located next to the park), many residential districts and smaller shopping centers were built under his supervision.

Mill Creek Park is known for the 1.2-mile circular cushioned asphalt trail, Eco Pond, and the famous J.C. Nichols Fountain. This historical large fountain has a horse statue in it.
